The Erwin Record:
According to the Erwin Police Department, officers are searching for a man believed to be involved in what was described as the "violent death" of 73-year-old Helen Peery on Friday, March 28.
In a press release issued by the department, the man is James H. Peery III, he is 50 years old, 6’5” tall and weighs 200 pounds, and he has brown hair and green eyes. He was last seen driving a 2001 green Ford Expedition with Tennessee tag # G79-21Y. He is considered armed and dangerous.
It is believed that James Peery has ties to Maryland and could be trying to return there, according to the department. He is also an avid outdoorsman and may be in a secluded area in the region.
If anyone sees the vehicle or knows of his whereabouts please do not approach him, call 911 and notify your local law enforcement agencies.
The press release also said officers were sent to Helen Peery's home on Laurel Avenue in Erwin to do a welfare check. Upon their arrival the officers found the front door open and entered the home where they found Peery deceased.
"Circumstances and evidence inside the home suggest that the manner of death is violent," the press release said. "The Tennessee Bureau of Investigation responded to the scene as well. The scene was processed and evidence was collected and is being sent to the TBI crime lab."

I hope the bill Senator James Inhofe is reintroducing passes. For over 200 years english was the language most often used in this country. Then suddenly walk/don't walk signs became red and green hands. Stores in Flushing, Queens added numerous Asian translations to menus and store fronts. Spanish speaking people are told to press "número quatro". English was the language immigrants had to learn so they could adapt to living in America. Now it seems America is adapting to the immigrants. We live in the only country that doesn't have an official language and the bill Senator Inhofe is reintroducing will change that.

"This Is The Garden:Colours Come And Go" by E. E. Cummings
this is the garden:colours come and go,
frail azures fluttering from night’s outer wing
strong silent greens silently lingering,
absolute lights like baths of golden snow.
This is the garden:pursed lips do blow
upon cool flutes within wide glooms, and sing
(of harps celestial to the quivering string)
invisible faces hauntingly and slow.
This is the garden. Time shall surely reap
and on Death’s blade lie many a flower curled,
in other lands where other songs be sung;
yet stand They here enraptured,as among
the slow deep trees perpetual of sleep
some silver-fingered fountain steals the world.
The splendid poems in this collection both represent and glorify the cultivating instinct, and each of them succeeds in "annihilating all that's made," as Andrew Marvell puts it in one of the most famous of all English poems, "to a green thought in a green shade." Contents include poems on Paradises, Gardens of Love, Gardens in the Mind, Gardens and Seasons, Flowers, Gardeners, The Work of the Garden, Gardens of the Wild, City Gardens, Public Gardens, Ruined Gardens, and A Garden of Gardens. Contributors include John Milton, Ovid, E.E. Cummings, Thom Gunn, John Donne, James Merrill, Wallace Stevens, Robert Browning, Shakespeare, and many others.
