Karen Peterson: I remember it well. It was June 19, 1967. A Monday. Jon and I were watching TV, a new show called Coronet Blue. My cousin Gussy called and said our PopPop died. Gussy was always doing mean things so I didn't believe him. I just hung up the phone. Then my Uncle Frank called. And PopPop was gone. I was only 11 but I was lucky enough to have eleven years worth of memories. PopPop was Mom's father. A tall, big-bellied man. I remember him mostly wearing white t-shirts. PopPop was a prankster. He and Gram lived in Pawtucket, RI. No yards in Pawtucket except for that 3' wide stretch by the fence. PopPop and Gram would go to Florida every year and every year my PopPop would tell me that he brought back coconut seeds and planted them in the little "garden" (that 3' strip of grass). He would send me out to dig up a coconut. I never failed to find one. We would crack it open, drink the milk and eat the meat. Oh how I loved it!!! (Imagine my surprise when I saw coconuts in a tree in Florida!) I remember how hard my parents laughed. During the summer I would spend a couple of weeks with Gram and PopPop at Waterman's Lake; they had a trailer there. This is when Gram and PopPop would get into their arguments of what they would watch on TV. Secret Storm or Boston Red Sox. Gram would win every time and that's how I became a Red Sox fan and fell in love with Carl Yastrzemski. I loved the onions my PopPop would share with me. He would make a show of peeling an onion, salting it and telling me to take a bite of the sweetest thing on earth. And oh how he would laugh! But, I can still taste the sweetness! (Must've been Vidalia). I miss my PopPop. I've heard the stories of what a tough father he was, but as a PopPop, he was tops! RIP Carl Emil Nordquist. I miss you and I love you.

Pelas minhas contas,minha primeira passeata foi há uns 26 anos...em Sto Ângelo,num movimento pela ecologia,organizado pelo colegio Missões,comigo estavam minhas inseparaveis amigas Janaína Penna, Débora Cattani, Rosane Aguiar Zin e Simone Welfer. Eramos muito jovens,mas achavamos que iamos mudar o mundo.
Depois disso eu me mudei p Sta Maria e durante anos fui militante ativa do que na época era chamado de esquerda.Muitas vezes,contra a vontade dos meus pais,fui p rua pedir voto,mais de uma vez quase fui presa fazendo boca de urna. Mas eu acreditava e convenhamos,temos uma coragem quase irresponsavel qdo somos muito jovens.
Elegi muita gente,não elegi outros tantos...ao longo dos anos vi praticamente todos por quem lutei,envolvidos em escândalos de corrupção,justo eles q muitas vezes me disseram que iam acabar com a roubalheira que havia por ai.
Ao longo desses dias de manifestação,muito pouco falei aqui,até pq é só ler o que posto p ver q estou aqui p desopilar.
Mas depois de tudo,depois de tanta coisa absurda sendo aprovada,depois de ser tratada como otária e ser completamente desrespeitada no meu direito de cidadã contribuinte,resolvi voltar p rua.Mas vou de forma pacifica,eu detesto baderna,acredito que é possivel sim ser ouvido sem quebrar nada. Entonces,vamos lá,a Pekena retornará!! kkkkk

Ana Maria, devemos esclarecer que o parecer foi técnico, para melhor entendimento no parecer as pessoas devem ler o Regimento Interno da Câmara a Constituição Federal da República e a lei orgânica do Município que diz o seguinte em seu Art 34.
Perderá o Mandato o Vereador que: utilizar do mandato para prática de corrupção ou improbidade administrativa,
Fixar residência fora do Município,
Deixar de comparecer, cada sessão legislativa anual, a terça parte das sessões ordinárias da Câmara, salvo motivo de força maior ou doença comprovada, licença ou missão autorizada pela Câmara Municipal;
Perder ou tiver suspensos os direitos políticos;
Tiver essa perda decretada pela justiça Eleitoral, nos termos da Constituição Federal;
