From Michigan.U.S.A.,a man who did more for The Stones than is given credit.

And on this day in 2004.
Mr Terry Knight April 9th 1943-Nov 1st 2004...
''In 1966-67 Terry Knight & The Pack were the most cherished regional rock group in Americas mid-west'' - Here is Terrys story.Terry was a U.S rock and roll producer,promoter,singer,song-writer and radio personality who enjoyed success in radio, modest success in singing, but phenominal success as the original manager/producer for Grand Funk Railroad and the producer for Bloodrock.Terrys career began as a Detroit Dj in 1963,the following year he moved across the river to CKLW in Windsor Ontario.Arguably the first American Dj to air The Rolling Stones,he hosted a legendary late night show from high powered CKLW bringing the British Invasion to The Northern States. He was awarded the honorory title of ''The Sixth Stone'' for his early support of The Stones.By the end of 1964 Terry left CKLW in pursuit of his own career in music.Around 1965 he fashioned his own career by becoming front-man for Terry Knight and The Pack. With his band he recorded a handful of regional hits for Lucky Eleven Records, part of Cameo Parkway Records group, including his self penned generation gap anthem ''A change on the way'',as well as scoring two national hits.In 1968 Terry travelled to London hoping to become a recording artist and/or producer for The Beatles, newly formed Apple Records.Terry met Paul McCartney and was present at The Beatles recording for the White Album including a session where Ringo Starr temporary quit the group.Terry was suprised to find the group members arguing with each other..He left London thereafter unable to negotiate a contract with acceptable terms. On November 1st 2004,Terry was murdered at the age of 61...

Lisa Lee's Music Stream

Lisa Lee's Music Stream: 1969, The Beatles scored their 13th US No.1 album with 'Abbey Road'. The final studio recordings from the group featured two George Harrison songs; 'Something' & 'Here Comes The Sun'. The cover supposedly contained clues adding to the ‘Paul Is Dead’ phenomenon: Paul is barefoot and the car number plate ‘LMW 281F’ supposedly referred to the fact that McCartney would be 28 if he was still alive. ‘LMW’ was said to stand for ‘Linda McCartney Weeps.’ And the four Beatles, represent; the priest (John, dressed in white), the Undertaker (Ringo, black suit), the Corpse (Paul, barefoot), and the Gravedigger (George, in jeans and a denim shirt). ** I NEVER payed attention to what they're wearing on this album cover, but it's TRUE ... Paul REALLY is barefoot, George IS in jeans ... how weird ! **
