"Annular", "annulus", and "annulet" share the common Latin root that roughly translates to "year", or "orbit". It also shares a root with "annul", which means to declare a contract void. The relationship is based in Roman law, where if a woman proved unable to produce an heir within the first year of marriage, the husband could obtain a no-obligation divorce. When transferred to the English common law, the window of opportunity was shortened.

Photos of Moreton Bay Astronomy Can you tell me what this is please? Rach Stacey took this photo of the Sun with her camera on the day of the Annular Eclipse (10th May) from Margate Beach and was surprised with the results! If you look above the bright disk of the sun, you will see that there are very clear 'ghost' images of the Sun clearly showing the eclipse happening!
This I believe, is due to the light passing through the camera's lenses which is reflecting some of the sunlight causing it to bouncing around inside the camera and appearing in the photo. Because these are just reflections they are not as bright as the original light from the Sun and hence you can see the eclipse!

I am Judy and suffer with everything that Fibromyalgia offers! I feel that I have been in remission for the last month or so because after months of Severe pain and All that goes with fibromyalgia, I totally had NO symptoms for several weeks! Well, a week ago I began with this symptom, then another, then another, so I am now in flare-up! But one thing I would like to share and ask about is my rash or break outs! 3 yrs. ago while in Destin, Fl. I broke out on my back across my shoulders. Big thick bumps that first start itching, then they hurt deep down, of course I scratch and they make ugly sores that keep scabbing over and over. Been to two different dermatologists plus my PCP, everyone gave me an ointment to use. Nothing helps! When my fibromyalgia went in remission this time, the rash cleared up. But was the first thing to pop up and began bothering me as the flare-up came on! I have them nowhere else on my body, although my face will break out at the same time! I would like to hear of other's break out problems and what you do for it!

An Inconvenient Truth......When and When Not to Call Global Warming....Global Warming
I notice that "Global Warming" has not been the 'hot' term for liberal advocacy groups as of late. I imagine when we experience warm summer days, this term will re-emerge to play on the emotions of the American people...as it has done for the past 15-20 years.
'Climate Change' is a safe redefined term for those who push for legislation on global warming, because when we experience an extended winter, as we did this past winter, its easy to say "see...its climate change" then it is to say global warming. Does the climate not change? Is this not why we have seasons?
Look, I stopped listening to those who claim to be from the science community on this issue, whenever they have a financial investment in the cause of the matter, or there is a government grant involved that offers free funding to people who research this theory.
In short, am I the only one who notices the same things that happened years before, that occur this year, are now being blamed on "global warming" when we spent the last 30 years federally funding projects to fight the very problem we claim to be the cause of every natural disaster.
I'll pass on this kool-aid!
