I went in to get my meds filled, he fed my a bunch of bullshit, and I could not understand one thing he was saying, he was a real old rude man! So I called Walmart. And told them what the old rude man told me, they said that wasn't right, that I need to call my insurance, they did a good job helping me, so I called the old rude man back, and he had the audacity and said "how dare I call the insurance company!?" I said nicely that I wasn't understand what was going on. And I was advised to call the insurance, I told the old man I was sorry, that I did not understand, he did not explain anything to me. And he said you should of asked me,but hell I didn't know what questions to ask, and he offered no explanation to what was happening. So yes I called the insurance, and the lady was super sweet, and helped me. So my question to any of you, what should I do about this rude old man that treated me like a piece crap? The End of the Unpaid Internship As an intern, you are in training. It's a dual responsibility between your supervisor and yourself. Every intern I have had the pleasure to train has had their program elaborated to them, benchmarks assigned, and progress reports are done either either in a written report or verbally. Operating equipment, learning nuances of personalities, and interacting with staff are as necessary as the specific job tasks to the internship. You may be a brilliant artist, but if I don't teach you how to read a map to arrive on set on time, no-one, including you, will benefit from any training off of set.
I've also had volunteers who wanted to learn, and discovered after a few days that filmmaking was long hours, lots of heavy lifting, and devoid of any perceived glamour, and we gently parted ways.
I've been able to hire many interns as paid employees on other projects, because now I can assign them actual responsibility and expect professional results. Thats the point of an internship.
