Terry Tillaart

Terry Tillaart: There are 2 types of people in the world there are those that believe everything their Dr says and everything they hear on Channel 6 news....

But there are those who have figured out that Pharma company's are their biggest advertisers and that there are millions of medical journals detailing the untold benefits of plant based medicines, including side by side drug comparison studies dramatically outperforming the drugs and therefore focus on real science and keep opinions out of it......whistling.....

Lupus and Me

Lupus and Me: A member has a question:

I have an odd question (what isn't odd when it come to lupus). When I bend over or reach for something, I feel like "something" has gotten "stuck" in my ribs. It steals my breath until I straighten up again and whatever it was seems to "pop" out. I have so much weirdness when it comes to this disease, I was wondering if this happens to anyone else or if anyone was familiar with it??

Candy Baker

Candy Baker: Saw the doc today. There is no fluid on the lungs. What they thought was fluid, was actually scar tissue from the pneumonia and pleurisy. He said it should heal on it's own within 4-6 weeks. I will have pain till it heals and may get short winded. He said to take it easy but I can go back to work Tuesday and leave for Florida tomorrow. So the car is packed and ready to go.

Dr Rant

Dr Rant: Dear Every-Fucking-Newspaper-In-The-Fucking-Country. So, if too many people try to see their GP, mainly with trivial shite, and there is a bit of a wait, it is the fault of GPs. However, if too many people try to see A+E doctors, mainly with trivial shite, and there is a bit of a wait, it is not the fault of A+E departments. It is in fact also the fault of GPs.

Is there any fucking logic to the pages of septic bull-shit you are forcing down the throats of Joe Public? Are you all a bunch of micro-phallic tossers with massive chips on your shoulders? Or are you merely regurgitating the spin of a Government who wants to sell off the NHS?

Lisa Stephens Foster

Lisa Stephens Foster: Beyond Lotus Touch     A client of mine Debbie Cupp - came to me for Reiki, during a few weeks into her Reiki sessions, I was able to intuitively sense an area of congestion about 6 inches above her heart/lung area on her left side - a couple of days later, she experienced some discomfort in that area, and wen to her doctor, after several tests she was told she had experienced Pleurisy which normally affects the right lung - in which the outcome saved her several additional testing - which shows a great example of how disease and illness manifests in the energy field and if it not resolved will eventually manifest into the physical body.

1. Take only shallow small breaths
2. Take pain med around the clock
3. Lie on the unaffected side as much as possible
4. Splint the chest during coughing and deep breathing

Don Tetley

Don Tetley: What a week. Started at 1.0am last Saturday by driving my wife to hospital due to her having severe cramping and pain in the upper abdomen. Got sent home at 5.0am and told it would settle. By midday it had gotten worse so back to casualty at the hospital again until about 10.00pm that night when they decided to admit her to hospital with suspected pancreatisus. I then drove home and tried to get some sleep but felt crook and had severe sore throat and headaches. Next day went to visit Cath in hospital but couldn't stay long as I was getting sicker. I went to doctor Monday to find I had picked up a bug and had pleurisy. So I have spent the week not being able to visit my wife as I was too crook at home. Thank goodness for great friends who helped us out whenever we needed them. Love all you guys who came to our help. It is a week I would rather forget. Oh yes, my wife did have what they suspected and now has to gradually heal. She arrived home this afternoon and is really not very well. hope they knew what they were doing by allowing her out. I guess time will tell.

Lois Buchanan

Lois Buchanan: URGENT!!!
Ok, folks! have a serious problem here. About a week ago I was asked to help with two pitties, but as you all know I have pneumonia, pleurisy and I could not take them here, so a friend stepped up and has them at her home. The owners had a house fire, they were displaced and now what they thought would take a short time to repair is going to take much longer than expected. They do not want to leave these girls in boarding so have decided to give them up. Shelter here is a kill shelter, do not adopt pits. They need a rescue! house broken, crate trained, lovely girls, not spayed, utd on shots, hw neg. these girls are tough, escape artists but good dogs over all, need some manners, walk on leashes very well, but need a rescue, foster or new home. contact me here, ALSO, they are good with other dogs, not sure about cats, lived with small kids. Under a year old, just had first heats! My friend cannot keep these dogs and needs to find a place for them very soon!

URGENT!

Attention: Christine Sandberg, can you help me network these sweet girls?

Marion Dorman Rosenthal

Marion Dorman Rosenthal: Officially diagnosed with Pleurisy. I am fine. I strained a chest muscle a few weeks ago and didn't give it a chance to heel. Left work on Friday not being able to breath. Doctor thought is was but had a chest x-ray. Today I was told that this is what I have. Put on steroids and rest. Will go back to work on Monday since I have to see the doctor on Friday and off on Sunday! I am really feeling good except when I have to take a deep breath and move suddenly

Jo Ellen Pettyjohn Booher

Jo Ellen Pettyjohn Booher: Please pray for my husband Fred. About 5 weeks ago he was diagnosed with leukemia (CML). Last night we took him to the emergency room because he was having chest pains. They admitted him to the hospital and after lots of testing they have decided he has Pleurisy. They think this is a side effect from his leukemia medicine (which was working). His doctor has told him to stop taking the medicine. He is still in the hospital tonight. They will keep him there until the chest pain stops. His doctor is going to do some research to figure out what's medicine to start next. Hopefully we will get him back home tomorrow.

Traci Lackey

Traci Lackey: Have any of my fb friends experienced pleurisy? If so, how in the world did you sleep? I have slept plenty nights in my recliner due to this undiagnosed pain in my back/ribs/shoulder blades/lung region that's been on and off for years.
Today is day 3 and taking in a deep breath is becoming a chore for me. There is NO way I can lay flat. Now, sitting in the recliner is painful. Basically, if anything touches or presses against my upper back/rib area it feels like someone is jabbing me between my ribs and stabbing my lungs.
I take ibuprofen daily and flexeril at night to ease the pain. Nothing is easing it now :-(
I don't know what else to do. I'm in tears over this.
Any advice?

Patricia Baughman: God is good. To all that know that Pat has been sick for awhile. I thank you for your prayers. Yesterday Pat started having a few chest pains and as the day went on they would come and go. Last night the pain started getting more painful. I took her to the hospital and all the test came back clear no heart problems. The doctor said Pat had pleurisy and was caused from all the coughing Pat has been doing, Pat is a little better and not coughing as much. Again thank you for your prayers.
