Maureen Lockhart Salahshoor

Maureen Lockhart Salahshoor: On my drive to work today I could see at a distance a black cat and a kitten crossing 132nd. The mom made it across but the kitten, confused, turned back. Thankfully oncoming traffic stopped as well as did I when I was closse to 10 feet away. The baby was spinning in circles, but mom came back for it and it was then I realized it was a raccoon. I had never seen a baby one before... Mama nudged it across the street and all was well. I hate it when animals, wild or no, try to cross a road. I will wait patiently for them to cross...their lives are just as precious.

Randy Shorr

Randy Shorr: Every summer, I pick an American city to visit for a few days to explore what it has to offer. This series of adventures has taken me to St. Louis, Milwaukee, Kansas City, Little Rock, Oklahoma City, Austin, Houston, Minneapolis, Indianapolis. This year, my pick is Detroit. If anyone knows of good stuff to see/do/eat in Detroit (including Dearborn), let me know! I'm primarily interested in architecture, history, art, neighborhoods, food and drink, but open to suggestions.

Deb Davis: First off I have lots of good friends and a daughter who live in WA but I have question: do majority of stupid drivers live in WA? Driving to the 'Couv today...no signals, under speed limit in fast lane, cutting in at last minute. So frustrating!!! I don't get that from OR drivers as much. And I have paid attention. Thoughts?

Weston Alvers

Weston Alvers: Seattle: Highest minimum wage in the country. Safest major city that has more than 500k residents, with some of the lowest crime rates. Diverse selection of art, music, film, theater, food, and culture. A summer that is very warm and sunny, with the rest of the year ranging from relatively cool with overcast to damn cold with overcast (the perpetual rain is a myth). One of the top educated cities. Absolutely amazing public transportation system. Strong sense of community with overall friendly people. Humongous geek/nerd community that have some of the most welcoming people I've ever met. Fantastic, tight-knit, and safe kink community; Seattle being one of the most sex-positive cities in the United States. Extremely liberal on average, with even the conservatives here being fairly open-minded about things. Cost of living is cheap for a major city with so much to offer. Over 200 parks in the greater Seattle area with a major lake right in the center of NE Seattle. One of the top Universities in the world (University of Washington) with what most consider one of the most beautiful campuses. Thriving LGBTQ community. Thriving nightlife with loads of bars, pubs, and clubs of all sorts. Nature, nature everywhere with mountains and forest being really accessible. Big downtown and lovely pier with an awesome market (Pike Place). So come on, just move here already.

Johnny Fever

Johnny Fever: You will never hear me say "If you have nothing nice to say, don't say anything at all" ...

Make yourself heard, express everything you feel, listen, read, learn, express some more. If you have a voice, you have a chance.

While I'm at it... Please boycott Adrian Peterson & Monsanto Company.

That's a F@*k load of food options/old American companies, and one otherwise very gifted athlete right down the drain, but sometimes you have to make some hard choices or nothing changes!!!

I support the Human Rights Campaign, Non-GMO Project & Chris Kluwe.

This has been a public service announcement! Happy Monday!

MomDot: So a big wig at my husbands company recommended him for a job.....4 states away. We were planning on moving, but moving back "home" to Florida. Now I feel conflicted. I want him to have this opportunity because its an income change but more importantly growth in his company but I had my heart set on no state taxes, warmer weather, and better schools.

Dear Baby Boomers, Thank You For Throwing Away My Generation

Dear Baby Boomers, Thank You For Throwing Away My Generation: So these past couple days I've been on an RFK reading binge. He's an endlessly fascinating man, and I want to hear some feedback from people who lived during his assassination and the 1968 election or even the aftermath. Do you think RFK would have won the democrat primary, do you think he could have beaten Nixon, what was the atmosphere of the democratic party back then, would have he made a good president, and how did his death hit you and the nation? Thanks for any input!
